A FAVOR TO ASK YOU
I hope you have some fun here until the day this Home page is closed when the problems are settled.
Now here are some favors I would like to ask you.
I hope you understand any sort of Candy goods are not under license right now.
I am sorry, but they are all illegal. There should not be any overseas edition book,
there wouldn't be Hong Kong edition by the end of 1999.
If you ever happened to find any of them (books, goods or anything that has
Candy on it) somewhere out there at the corner of the world, please let me know.
I 'd also be very appreciated if you help my friend, Mr. Man Izawa, in the same way.
@He is the author of "Georgie" caricature by Ms.Igarashi and is in
the similar situation as I am. He has not given any permission to Ms. Igarashi to
do anything with "Georgie" , yet.

Hello and welcome to my Home page. This is Kyoko Mizuki, the author of the
story. It is a pleasure for sure to have all of you from abroad, but I feel
a bit sorry at the same time to let you learn some problems that annoy Candy
and myself here.
The story of "Candy Candy" was born 25 years ago. Some of you might not be
informed that I wrote the original story and Ms. Yumiko Igarashi, the caricaturist,
draw the cartoon based on it. Somehow it happened all of the sudden
after 25-years' partnership and friendship with her that Ms. Igarashi
insisted she posess the exclusive privileges of "Candy Candy" because she
had done the whole creation just by herself......then she started some sort
of business using Candy without legal permission.
It was really out of blue, too sad and confusing for me at that point that
I still don't know if it's right to make fans face the fact she and I are
now pending in court, but at least I wanted Candy's friends to realise nothing
but the truth. This is why I opened this Home page.
Meanwhile, I was happy and glad to find very many English mails at my Japanese
site and came to think there should be a particular space for English speakers
only so that people from foreign countries could enjoy talking about
Candy there .
Though I am not very good in English, my reliable friends would help me understand
your messages (Volunteers wanted!) .
I wish I could, but I'm afraid I won't be able to answer your questions (...
...I am sorry......).
